The following information is a breakdown on pay options, structure, and procedures, as well as bonus opportunities. We strive always to provide the best rewards and most flexible solutions for you.

Guidance on pay
Sub-Contractor
When you work as a sub-contractor you are paid through a third party company.
The daily rate working through a third party company is £125 min. (due to no Employers NI to Vibe)
The “take home” pay on 5 days work equals approximately £480 (through ISS)
PAYE
When you are paid through PAYE you are subject to tax and NI on the full amount of any daily rate paid.
The daily rate working through PAYE is £110 (lower rate due to the Employers NI incurred to Vibe)
The “take home” pay on 5 days work equals approximately £390
Holiday pay
Any accrued Holiday pay is paid in advance through inclusion in your daily rate.
Timing
Payroll is processed weekly on a Wednesday at Vibe.
In order to have any completed work paid we must receive the relevant timesheets by the Tuesday morning.
Pay Enquiries
If you have chosen to work as a sub-contractor then you will need to contact the third party company that you are being paid through as a first point of call. If this does not resolve an issue, or if you are paid through PAYE, then please contact the Vibe office for further assistance.
Whenever you make an enquiry, make a note of who you speak with and the issues discussed, including any resolutions reached or promises made.
We recommend you check your payslips against timesheets regularly, and enquire immediately if there are any discrepancies.
Business Expenses
If working as a sub-contractor you may be able to claim certain expenses. You should discuss with the company that you are being paid through what are allowable expenses and how to go about making claims. You are then responsible for recording and claiming any such expenses. You may not be able to claim any outstanding expenses retrospectively so it is important to make all relevant claims in the weeks that you work.
Tax–End of Year Assessment
PAYE - we provide you with a P60 at the end of the financial year which you send to Inland Revenue.
Sub-contractor - you should contact the company you are paid through to determine your obligations.

Why we give bonuses
Referrals are the biggest source of teachers for us, and that’s the way we like it! We know that if they’re friends of yours then they’re generally the type of people we want!
How it works
- 1. Write your name on a card like the one below left and hand it to a teacher or TA.
- 2. When they contact us and register we collect the card and know who has referred them on.
- 3. We then give them a “Work Completion Card” like the one below right.
- 4. They write the date of each day they work on “The Money Tree” and hand to us (20 days).
- 5. We then check to see who referred that person on and pay them £100.
- 6. Once the candidate has also attended an “Induction” evening they also receive £100.
If you want more Referral cards, just ask!
NB. If you don’t have any referral cards, you will still be entitled to a bonus as long as the person gives us your name when they register.
When are bonuses paid?
Bonuses are paid on the Wednesday following the date that we receive the “Work Completion Card”
…or in the next term break period if you would prefer (this will help to minimise tax)
NB. Please contact us if you feel we have overlooked a bonus that you are owed…
We don’t mind you calling as we honestly want to pay you!
Can I receive “Referral Bonuses” if I am not working through Vibe?
Yes. We can pay £100 directly to your bank account, but you will need to declare this for tax.
