Our pocket rocket Rhiannon (a.k.a Ram) is one of the superstars in the Secondary Team here at Vibe. Ram came over to London in 2015 all the way from Swan Hill in country Victoria, Australia. Rhiannon joined us here in the office in September after spending a lot of time in the classroom. You will often find Rhiannon at the gym or doing something active (well before she broke her arm snowboarding at Christmas) and has many travel stories to share – some are included in her story below, the others you will have to ask her about!
Tell us about your story with Vibe
My journey with Vibe started back in May 2016 when I decided to switch agencies and worked as a supply teacher through Vibe. I always loved popping into the Vibe office and really wanted to be a part of it – so when the opportunity came up last September, I jumped at it!
What do you love most about working with Vibe?
I really enjoy meeting lots of new people. I also love to help people with their different adventures in London.
What’s the best thing about living in London?
Being able to travel so much and to so many different places…and more importantly, the Sunday Roasts!
What’s your favourite area in London? Why?
Clapham! There are so many pubs to choose from, lots of green space and it’s nice and central without being too close to the city and having that real city feel.
What’s your favourite pub in London?
The Merchant in Battersea – it has THE BEST roast with a side of duck fat potatoes!
What’s one of your best travel experiences?
I would have to say Morocco – I was lucky enough to spend my 27th birthday in the Sahara Dessert in Morocco. What an experience!
What are your top tips for teachers in London?
Give everything a go! E-books and audiobooks are a great way to kill time on the commute to and from work.
What/who are you most inspired by?
Em Rusciano because she is an advocate so many different but important causes – and I hope she decides to do a show in London!
What is your Yearbook Quote/quote that you live by?
I actually have this quote as my phone background – ‘I’m in love with the cities I’ve never been to and people I have never met’. I think it is a great quote for anyone going through the whole London experience.
Aghh! I just love this!!! I’ve recently graduated from CSU in Bathurst NSW with a Bachelor of primary and really want to receive as much experience as I can!
