Clays in Tweed + Vinyl!

What better way to bond as a team of teachers than dress up in tweed and snap the old shoulder back with some roaring rounds of shotgun fire! That’s how we roll at Vibe Teaching…

It was a bit left-field for some and so the group set out with a hint of trepidation. However, all soon realised that they had in fact been missing their true calling in life and fun was had by all.

Following the fun of shooting up the clay pidgeons (or not shooting them – as was the case was for some!), we made our way to a ‘Home House’ in Parsons Green to appreciate the finer things in life – food, drink, music and excellent company. There were only two requirements for entry: Tweed outfits and a Vinyl Record of importance to yourself.

After the Record unveiling, we all let our hair down and were able to appreciate and enjoy each others taste in music.

It was a great day had by all teachers, with some key messages learned by all:

  • Don’t give teachers a loaded firearm unless it’s Jay, Will or Taryn (they wouldn’t be able to hit you even at close range)
  • Tweed is always a great choice of attire
  • Check the gas bottle before you start cooking
  • Vinyl Records are coming back in a big way
  • Don’t drink the night before while setting up

The venue could sense the eagerness of everyone to get a shotgun in their hands, so quickly divided us into two groups to start the days shoot before trouble started

It soon became apparent to us all of us that these little clays were going to be a lot more difficult to hit than previously thought (hoped)
