Family is a big deal for us at Vibe Teaching.
Many of our teachers are in London having left a home that lies across oceans. Because of this, we like to create at Vibe Teaching a feeling of community, of family; a sense of togetherness formed by a unique and shared experience.
And this togetherness isn’t limited to London itself – it goes beyond the city of London to link together a living, breathing, cross-continent family.
One of the ways we try to inspire this togetherness is through hosting alumni events across the globe. We’ve got this saying: “Once a Viber, always a Viber.” We want our community to know their Viber status isn’t lost once they’ve moved beyond the London classroom. At these events we’re about getting together face-to-face, making space for old mates to connect over a few beers, laugh, reminisce and have fun.
We also want to embrace opportunities to meet new teachers, welcoming them into the gang by inspiring them to make the big and bold move to teach in London.
Already this year we’ve hosted events across Australia, and this month, for the first time, we said Kia Ora to New Zealand!

These sort of re-connections are full of positive energy and reinforce the fact that Vibe’s community spirit is alive and well – it’s the thing that makes us really special! We saw this again at our Auckland alumni event at the Conservatory, a very cool bar right on the harbour.
We had a cracking time in NZ! Seeing as Vibe is part Kiwi-owned, it felt pretty special to return to the roots of our family.
